Review: The Notebook: A History of Thinking on Paper

The Notebook: A History of Thinking on PaperThe Notebook: A History of Thinking on Paper by Roland Allen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I didn’t have high expectations going into this book, but I was pleasantly surprised by how interesting it was. The author organized it chronologically and that made a lot of sense. One can tell how much research Allen must have put into this work.

Yes, some very famous people left their notebooks to posterity and museums, but the everyday use of these thinking tools by men and women throughout human history is just as entertaining.

The audiobook was narrated excellently by Mark Elstob, although his tone tends to the side of sarcasm a little too easily.
