Dragon Champion: Book One of the Age of Fire by E.E. Knight
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
First in a fantasy series that is unique due to the point of view: that of the dragon himself. It was recommended and was certainly different and interesting. The dragon’s rough-scrabble life and interaction with the species around him showed a more realistic aspect than other series. The unapologetic eating of humans is certainly as ‘real’ as it would seem, and I admire the authors use of a moral compass in other directions. The ending felt a little rushed but opens the way for more.
